What We Do
We are interested in how development proceeds from a single cell to a collection of diverse cell types. Our research has two major areas: 1) Identification of differentiation pathways that exist in mammalian development in vivo and in vitro, and 2) Learning factors that influence cellular outcomes, that is, what affects a cell's decision to self-renew or differentiate to one outcome or another. To address these questions, we combine CRISPR-based lineage tracing technologies, genomic read-outs, computational analysis, and more.
